Ruby Throated Hummingbird

Archilochus colubris

Notes:

Hummingbirds are very rare in South Florida, I have only seen a few in the wild in my 49 years of living here. These were taken in my back yard. I have put feeder out in hopes of attracting more but I still only get one and they will not use a feeder. An IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are going to use a hummer feeder you have to maintain it, the liquid should be changed every three days and washed out. You can make hummers sick and they could die if you do not do this. So please if you cant do this then don't use a feeder.

Very interesting! If you add the scientific name, your spotting will be considered completed. Archilochus colubris
