Great Blue Lobelia

Lobelia siphilitica

Description:

Flowers approx 30mm long. Plant about 60cm tall. Alternate, slightly dentate leaves. Densely pubescent on calyx and corolla.

Habitat:

Muddy seep in beech-maple forest

Notes:

My key (Flora of WV) keys this out to the Great Blue Lobelia, although it does not mention the pubescent calyx and corolla which is very apparent in the second (overexposed) photo.
