Hawksbill Sea Turtle

Eretmochelys imbricata

Description:

Followed this Hawksbill sea turtle for a while. It was a small one, only about two feet in length. It swam over a sea anemone and the clownfish were very quick to come out to defend their home. On other dives I've seen Hawksbills completely devouring an entire sea anemone and the clownfish pecking at the turtles eyes. It was fascinating.

Habitat:

Coral Reef. Saw this sea turtle at Sombrero Island
