Arapaima

Arapaima gigas

Description:

This fish was HUGE! I would estimate 6-8 feet long and weigh 400-500 pounds. It was a black/grey color, and had some scales that were slightly red on the tips. Its eyes were somewhat on the sides of its head, and it had a flat face with a large bottom lip. Its flippers were about 1.5 feet back from its head.

Habitat:

This huge fish was being kept in a fish pond with another of its kind, some other smaller fish, and some turtles.
