Mimulus guttatus
Spreading to upright. Stems fleshy. Leaves oval to round, irregularly toothed, with pointed tip; upper leaves sessile, more or less clasping stem. Flower stalks 1/4–3 in. long, usually 5 or more yellow flowers near top of flower stem. Flower lower lobes have large to small red dots in throat area; upper lobes plain, smaller.
Bog/Fen/Wetland, Vernal Wet, West-Side Forest. Grows in all types of wet places from near coastline to mid elevations in mountains. This flower was spotted by the trail right next to the Spray Falls, Mt. Rainier.
Changed the ID from Mimulus tilingii to Mimulus guttatus since the latter is more common and found in mid-elevations. http://www.pnwflowers.com/flower/mimulus...
