Spindasis lohita zoilus
The Zoilus sub species of the Long Banded Silver Line is a endemic species to the Andaman Islands and not found on the Indian main land. Normally seen perched on flowers and among the shrubs, this Jewel prefers forests with heavy rainfall. In comparison to its main land cousin, Andaman Longbanded Silverline has dark chocolate bands while the main land one has lighter brown bands. With a wing span of 30-42mm, the Andaman Longbanded Silverline is a swift flier and prefers to fly in the sunshine.
