Bufo haematiticus
This toad is about 3" long. We spotted him on a nature walk
Jungle setting 400 meters to the ocean in Primary forest.
Thanks Brendan. I had looked at this one before but there are so many color differences between individuals that I couldn't make a sound decision.
Sorry, I did everything last evening, but looking at your toady friend. Looks not bad with Haematicus. But since I am not a herpist, I do not dare to confirm 100%. And these toads seem also be very variable, besides the complex taxonomy.
This might be some kind of a Forest Toad. There are several genus around. I only know Rhinella sp., Rhinella alata or Rhinella margaritifer (complex), which is really a huge complex, from which some are now Rhinella sp. others remained in the Bufo sp. group (Bufo typhonius was a famous one, might be now Rhinella?). Ollotis melanochlora or Bufo melanochlorus (the same??) another. I try to get a little bit closer, later.
