Description:

A rare sighting and out of its range in Central Europe, this handsome Barnacle Goose is most likely an escapee. Barnacle Geese breed mainly on the Arctic islands of the North Atlantic.

Habitat:

The shores of a large Central European Lake.

Notes:

One single individual sighted. In their normal area of distribution these birds nest in huge colonies on cliffs.
