Description:

Insects in this family (Micropezidae) are commonly called stilt-legged flies, after their characteristically long legs. The fore legs are markedly smaller than the other pairs.

Habitat:

Spotted on Bougainvillea sp. in large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.
