Plethodon cinereus
Characterized by a small black body with a red splotch over the back, the Northern Redback, Plethodon cinereus, is a small salamander tolerable of variable conditions. There are many morphs of this salamander, in which it can be completely black or completely reddish-orange.
The Northern Redback needs a shady piece of dead wood to feel safe in. Home sweet home!
Very small salamander around mushrooms.
