Clove

Syzygium aromaticum

Description:

Flowers of cloves trees from their native habitat.

Habitat:

Mixed with coconuts in a lowland urban area. Plenty of Syzygium genera in Sulawesi and wild cloves may also alter the place of origin of this species. Sad news came to me last year that the biggest Avo clove trees in Halmahera had dried out and died.

Notes:

It was Eugenia aromaticum when I was at university. Then it was Caryophillum aromaticum when I graduated. A species than might have stirred race of discovery in the ancient time.

It would be nice if you could add the picture of the whole plant. I really do not have an idea as to how it looks like.
