Indigo Bunting

Passerina cyanea

Description:

Southeastern Arizona. This was a rare find for the area, although they breed in parts of Arizona.

Habitat:

Mountainous...sycamore and oak forest

Notes:

I have horrible luck with this species and this was only the 2nd one I've ever seen. One of my favorite North American birds.
