Spotted in Eastern Borneo. I've been startled many times by barking deer, actually we mutually scare each other I think!

Awesome little deer! I had a scare thing going on with the barn owls in CA; they would scream and then I would! just kidding :)
Kara, these antlers are not branched, but separate points. Male muntjacs have short antlers and consist of two or three points.
Wikipedia says the Indian muntjac "unbranched antlers", but the one in my photo is branched..
