Thank you jeslowery for the suggestion. I checked an identification key with my photos full magnified and it appears it is the Anthrenus verbasci and not the Trogoderma.

Could also be a Khapra Beetle (another variety of carpet beetle) Trogoderma granarium. From India, but invasive in a lot of other parts of the world.
