We saw the lynx on a dry river bed some distance ahead of us. Of course, as we approached all that was left was the tracks our lynx left behind.

many thanks extremebirder! My wife is currently working in Washington State doing research on lynx. These are very impressive animals. It is a rare privilege for me to see one in the wild.
