Eucalyptus galls

Description:

Two separate stem galls about 13-15 mm long with narrow pointy beaks and minute openings. One gall was partly fused to the stem and the other upright. Both appear parasitised. The upright gall appeared to have a second opening with a shorter beak.

Habitat:

Spotted on a eucalyptus tree - Pic. provided for identification. Seen in a nature reserve.

Notes:

Seeking help with identification. Thanks.
An update 2 Dec 23: According to an expert the holes might not be made by a parasite given similar positions on both galls. For an ID would need more information about the tree- flower buds and bark. Will try to find the tree again.
I was also informed that it might be useful to cut open one of the 'galls' to see the internal structure.
