Wild Bean

Strophostyles sp

Description:

this plant looked like it was out of a fairy tale. It was from the legume family and the pods were so miniature. The flower in pic 2 was really teeny weeny. Another wild flower of San Fransisco.

I do not think it is even the same genus as my spotting Emma, the keel petal does not curve back like in my spotting. I will see what I can find out, would be lot easier if you had found it in the Appalachias, instead of the Sierra Nevadas. ;)
