Neoclytus mucronatus vogti

Description:

Neoclytus mucronatus vogti is lighter in coloration and more strikingly marked than the widely distributed N. m. mucronatus. It's range is southern Arizona to southern Texas and northern Mexico. Intergrades with N. m. mucronatus around Bexar Co.. Adult activity runs March-November.

Habitat:

Larval hosts are Hackberry, Elm, Retama, Mesquite, Gum Bully.

Notes:

Found above my back door and porch light.
