Armadillidium vulgare
.
Yeah, I suppose semantics can differ geographically (even across Canada!). What we call "potato bugs" are certainly different in Alberta (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/...), and I learned Armadillidium vulgare as a "pill bug".
But you're right - I looked it up - Armadillidium vulgare is sometimes referred to as a "potato bug", and the common name is irrelevant as long as the Scientific name is correct! Cute spotting, though! ;)
They have many different names that people call them, i call em' potato bugs and i have the scientific name in the scientific name section :)
