A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Tiny eggs (about 1 mm diameter)
Semi rural wildlife habitat.
On one of the wild plants growing around the ponds we dug this spring.
I was not able to locate an image of an emerging nymph, but the remains in the hatched eggs looks familiar. Here is a link to hatching stink bugs from Bugguide http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2010/07/23/n...
Photos added of the emerging nymphs - Not sure if that is mom at the top keeping a watchful eye or an unrelated species after a tasty snack!
Thanks Maria!Jacob, I'll add this to your moths mission then.
really nice series, Karen!
Definitely moth eggs in my opinion. While butterfly eggs are laid as a whole, sometimes moth eggs are not.
Sergio, hopefully I will see the caterpillars soon & get to bring a couple in & raise them.
I guess so Dan! I'll add it to the mission.
I bet these are moth eggs.
So tiny! Would this be suitable for Signs of Wildlife?
Thank you alice!
Wonderful!
Thanks gatorfellows, I will keep checking on them & hopefully I will get to see what comes out!
Here is what mine looked like as they hatched. They do not disperse right away, which is helpful for getting a photo. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/111...
Stink bugs lay eggs like these in this kink of pattern. Keep an eye and see who comes out.
Thank you Luis & Antonio! Interesting how you both saw different things here - Luis, you must have beer on your mind!
beautiful like pearls
Looks like a warehouse full of barrels. Good find Karen.
