Jackfruit Tree

Artocarpus heterophyllus

Description:

This is a picture of a Jackfruit tree and it is located in the understory layer of our SAS rainforest. If you couldn't tell, the jackfruit on the far left has been half-eaten by an unknown creature, so it's safe to say that these jackfruits are providing the nutrients to another creature in the rainforest.

Habitat:

SAS Secondary Rainforest.
