About 152 mm. Not exactly sure if this is a Tassled or Bearded scorpionfish. Appreciate help on ID. Spotted at a depth of about 9 m.

Cool shots! Tricky one to ID though.

I would lean towards it being a Tassled Scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis oxycephala), because of the lack of cirri (tassles) around the eyes: http://www.whatsthatfish.com/fish/tassel... http://www.wetwebmedia.com/Pix%20Of%20Th...

I'm inclined to think it's a Scorpaenopsis sp. But can't be sure.
