Tiger Moth Caterpillar Tussock Moth Caterpillar

Lophocampa maculata

Description:

Yellow and black fuzzy caterpillar with white bristles on black ends. Black stripe on back.

Habitat:

deciduous trees, southern Canada and north western to north central US

Notes:

I first though this was a striped yellow woolly bear but upon more research I found the tiger moth, specifically the Spotted Tussock moth.
