Liris argentatus

Description:

Roughly 12 millimeters in body length, colored silvery gray as shown.

Habitat:

Several of these wasps were drinking at a seep at the base of a tall sandstone wall in Garden of the Gods park. Western paper wasps (Mischocyttarus flavitarsis) and honeybees (Apis mellifera) were also present, along with numerous flies.
