Steller's Sea Lion

Description:

This was a haul-out site, mostly for young males. This species is very social and live together in large colonies. They were very curious about our Zodiac boat and came quite close to investigate. This site was quite noisy and could be heard a distance away.

Inian Islands in Southeast Alaska

Lovely sea lion and series Donna. They seem to enjoy the calmness and beauty of that particular island. We have a very calm island here, in Uruguay, that is also full of playful sea lions =)
