Hi Scott. Great spotting - I was just reading about this one and remembered yours. I think the common name should be Looper not Lopper (family name after all) This 'typo' started in BrisbaneInsects in 2004 and is being copied all over the place. (bayucca please note :-) It also applies to several other geometrids in BI. I have emailed PeterChew at BI for clarification but other sources don't concur unless they referenced BI.

Geometridae, Anisozyga pieroides. Has to be verified!

Fantastic spot. Given the way it moves, I'd look among the geometrid moths.
