Description:

this is a spiral ginger that typically reaches between 4 and 6' depending on light and water conditions. It thrives where there is a constant water supply. The inflorescence of the "cone" is quite dainty and lovely.

Habitat:

Tropical wet forest in NW Costa Rica. I have seen this spiral ginger throughout the country in wet areas.
