Description:

4 - 5 feet tall, palm-sized, thick green leaves. Thick, fibrous stalk - reddish purple. White flower clusters at the ends of stems. Berries similar to bunches of grapes, start out green, then ripen to deep purple.

Habitat:

Invasive, invasive, invasive...everywhere.

Yes, these are everywhere - we have some growing up a lane way where I live
(Victoria, Australia) and when I was growing-up in India, these were everywhere and I used to crush the berries to use as a "dye" - knew not to eat them though ! - very attractive little berries.
