Zebra Dove

Geopelia striata

Description:

Small, slender dove with a long, narrow tail. Brownish-gray with black and white barring. Underparts are pinkish with black bars on sides and neck, breast, and belly. Face is blue-gray with bare blue skin around the eyes. White tips on the tail feathers. Call is a soft, stocatto cooing noise. They are commonly seen walking around the outside tables at the cafe and occassionally inside the cafe, as well.

Habitat:

Open scrub land, farms, parks, gardens, and urban areas.
