Chinavia hilaris. There are no black spots there.

There are two orange spots on either side of the scutellum right before the scutellum comes to a point, and then there is some blackish smudging right behind the scutellum. I cropped the photo as much as I could, which is the result of photo two. What do you think? I think it may be Nezara viridula, unless those smudges aren't really dots.

Thanks bayucca. The scutellum is the triangular-shaped thing behind the head, correct?

I would say yes, if you can't find any tiny black spots behind the scutellum. Then it is Nezara viridula.
