Red-bellied Snake

Storeria occipitomaculata

Description:

This is a pretty common snake up at the cabin. It was hiding under a rock that we leave leaning up against our fire hydrant. I'm not sure but I think it's either pregnant or just eaten -- either way I didn't want to disturb it too much, so no shots of the red belly.

Habitat:

Diverse woods near a small lake.
