Parmelina tiliacea
Foliose lichen. Parmelina tiliacea is characterized by its rather large, smooth, broad lobed thallus, light-greyish in dry condition, more bluish green when wet. The lobes are very distinctive and rounded, somewhat raised, and turning notched at the tips. The lower surface of the lobes is blackish with simple rhizines in the central portions, becoming lighter brown at the margins. In the central portions of the lobes small branched or unbranched coralloidisidia are usually developed. Apothecia are rare, big and bluff.
