I believe these are the same female. In the picture with the car, I interrupted her while she was eating.

Stagmomantis carolina are highly cannibalistic. It looks like the female is eating a male of the same species. 1st instar nymphs will cannibalize, but it gets worse at L2 and older.

Beautiful shot! The females of this species of mantis are believed to be flightless and often have shorter wings, so it's not surprising to see. She looks like this one:
