Bush Katydid Nymph

Scudderia sp.

Description:

I found this bright green Katydid early one morning after a rain shower. He was climbing to a sunny leaf on a Spreading Dogbane plant. I find it amazing how long the legs and antennae are!

Habitat:

Small clear in mostly deciduous woods.

Notes:

I actually shot him for a while, and then went off after a damselfly only to realize that I hadn't adjusted my ISO from the night before! I punched it back down to 100 and went back -- how luck was I that he was still there! Also: Colours were edited for print not web, so I may have tamed them a bit too much.

Thanks CarolSnowMilne! Funny about your spider, I'll dig up my spider shot early next week and get it on PN.

TK, I forgot to put in my notes about that spider you commented on? It was also found on a clothesline at my friend's house. HA! I brought it home with me in a container.
