Southern Maidenhair Fern

Adiantum capillus-veneris

Description:

Found this sprig of leaves pressed in the pages of a 134 year old German-English dictionary. Stem is woody. Having a hard time finding an ID for these--leaves are reminiscent of ginkgo (veins radiate from stem towards outer edges of leaves) but are NOT a ginkgo species I am aware of. No idea where they originate, and they could be very old. Likely discolored due to age.
