Horse Fly Larva

Tabanus sp.

Description:

Tubular shaped larva with small ridged segments.

Habitat:

Short Hills Provincial Park, Ontario. Found in a stream bed under some rocks (partially water immersed).

Notes:

Probably the most unusual find of the trip. I knew it was a larva but wasn't sure what type initially.
