I tried to look it up, but when I saw about 30+ different species had been documented here in Tennessee belonging to 8 different genera (Aedes, Anopheles, Culex, Mansonia, Megarhinus, Orthopodomyia, Psorophora & Uranotaenia) ...I decided to leave this one for the experts.
Wonder which kind of mosquito .Nice pic ,especially of it's abdomen ,which of course looks filled with Karen L's blood. Do they have Anopheles and culex mosquito's here?

Local Pest control or CDC might be able to provide information on the type of species found locally.
