Yeh weird. I just looked on Google Images & saw this colour there too, though like you, haven't seen it before. I hope it's correct!

I was thinking the same, but I have never seen this colour.. It was yellow not red!

I'm quite sure this is the correct ID Christiane, though the flowers are usually darker in colour. I'm sure the experts will confirm. Unusual flowers, shame the African Tulip Tree has become a weed here.
