Long-necked Seed Bug, nymphs

Myodocha serripes

Description:

Small to tiny insects. Nymphs have black heads and thorax with the black continuing down the center of the dorsal abdomen. Reddish-orange on the wing area to the abdomen which pales to almost pink/white. Distinctive long "neck". An adult of this species that I spotted (though not great pictures): http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/114...

Habitat:

Suburban backyard garden, underneath low growing, groundcover weeds.

Notes:

There are hundreds of these little bugs living in my garden. I didn't realize until I began to pull up the weeds. I decided to leave them. If you look at the far left of the last picture you can see one of the really tiny ones.
