I wonder if these are coyote/dog hybrids, sometimes called coy-dogs. As one might imagine they can take on different looks depending upon the dogs that they are crossed with. These animals have some markings that resemble coyote but are much more robust then coyotes.

The curled tail makes this a likely candidate for a dog or dog hybrid.

Well if Tex is really keen he's got the genetic material right there.

Likely just feral dogs, but possibly a feral dog and coyote mix? No way to tell from photographs alone as you would need genetic material to know for sure. Cool shots though!

So other than the fact that the dog is "marking his territory," I need to know what I've got on my hands. Wolf or domestic/feral dog?

Yep, sure is. This is off a trail cam that a buddy of mine and put up. We caught these dogs but aren't sure what kind of dogs they are. We posted it to a wildlife/hunting forum not too long ago but aren't getting any good ID's. some think they are wolves, some think they are huskies... Wolves in north Texas?! I'm not convinced.

Hi TexanHunterDD... this picture appears elsewhere on the web. Please make sure you only post your own images.

They look like some kind of doggies... still, if TexanHunterDD doesn't know what they are then I sure don't. Maybe that overhead can is the flush!
