Grub

Chrysomelidae, sub family Galerucinae

Description:

this two to 3 cm long larva seemed to be in a hurry. It was walking fast on the gravel in the parking lot next t o the limeridge open space. My observations have been that a caterpillar or a larva, usually walks very fast before turning into a pupa.

Notes:

leaf beetle larva

Looks like a leaf beetle larva. Chrysomelidae. It's a big group.
That would make it a grub rather than a caterpillar.
