Description:

This patch of white clover had distinct deep red patches spreading out from the midrib of the leaves. Some leaves showed slight red colouring along the margins.

Habitat:

open grass land

Notes:

They appeared very attractive growing amidst patches of white clover with white zig-zag markings along the middle of the leaves. This clump was small and isolated. It is reported that these red markings are genetically determined as are the four-leaved variants. https://www.crops.org/story/2010/jun/thu...
