Cervus elaphus
A large ungulate mammal in the deer family that are generally gray-brown in coloring (depending on the seasonal coat) with a defined rump patch and a small tail. Male's have very large antlers (that of course will fall off each winter) and have a fantastic bugle call to defend their herd of females (harem).
In North America, they are well adapted to a forested environment (there are various subspecies that occupy different areas).
