Raphicerus campestris campestris
Standing at most 60 cm at the shoulder, Steenbok are quite a bit smaller than other antelope. Their coat is orange on top, and white on bottom. They have a white ring around the eye, and have finger like markings in the ear. Males have short, straight horns.
This subspecies occurs throughout Southern Africa, usually found in areas with tall grasses and bushes for them to hide in, they are very shy.
