Large Hopper

Description:

This is a very interesting insect. It looked like a moth and took off like a hopper. On the top of that it had a face that made it look like a duck billed platypus! It was 2cm long.

Habitat:

Lower Himalayas.

Notes:

I am very keen on finding an ID. Please help.

Thanks Yasser. It was well hidden on the floor and I had to use a flash light to see it. Then I put it on my hand to click it. It was a bit prickly but I couldn't let it off without the pictures. :)

This is just too cool! It does look like a duck bill, haha. Seems to have some great camouflage as well. I hope we can get an ID on this one. Great spotting Harsha! :)
