This black Phoebe mom is an expert in catching butterflies and skippers. I saw her bring down a cabbage white. The action was too quick for pictures.

I was watching her catch a butterfly. she was trying to slam dunk it and get it as low to the ground as possible.then grab it.
It is supposed to be a token of respect . Nothing age related!!
