Yes, they are. And here, at least, very wary. Normally, if I get the camera out, they're gone. This time I stopped the car and shot from behind my rearview mirror and they stayed until I moved forward a touch for a better view(and safety since I was on a curve and wanted to be seen from both directions)
Aww the little quails are so endearing!
