Four-lined Silverfish

Ctenolepisma lineata

Description:

Small, with four dark brown lines on the abdomen. Adult with fairly long antennae and three long "tails". Young are light brown until the fourth molt (as per Bugguide).

Habitat:

Suburban backyard, hiding under the grill cover. Commonly found in and around houses, basements and garages.

Notes:

These little critters are quick! Two different individuals found in the same place at the same time. One is younger (the lighter one).
