Marbled Reed Frog

Hyperolius marmoratus

Description:

They vary in color, but are usually a pale yellow color and longitudinally striped. We found ones with dark stripes, pale stripes, and no stripes. They have the characteristic enlarged toe pads of tree frog species.

Habitat:

It occurs in much of Southern Africa, and inhabits a wide range of natural habitats including forest, savanna, shrubland, grassland, rivers, swamps, and freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater lakes. As their name suggests, they are usually found living among reeds.
