Lacewing larvae are voracious predators, attacking most insects of suitable size, especially soft-bodied ones (aphids, caterpillars and other insect larvae, insect eggs, and at high population densities also each other). In the other hand, to protect themselves, larvae of some species, like this one, camouflage themseves "glueing" the remains of their victims over their own body.
